Shopping

Should you wish to stock up on some essentials before you get to the Villa there are a number of Supermarkets close to the Villa.

Publix Publix located at Berry Town Centre which is on the Right Hand Side as you go further up the 27 from the Villa. Hours are 8.00 am until 9.00pm 7 days a week. There is a further Publix Store on the 192 just after the intersection with the 27. It is on the Left Hand Side and is open from 8.00 am until 10.00 pm 7 days a week.

Walmarts There is a 24 Hour Super Walmart located on the 27 North of the Villa just past the junction with the 192 at Cagan’s Crossing.

Walgreens This is a Pharmacy which also sells a selection of Groceries Hours are 8.00 am until 10.00 pm M-F, 8.00-6.00 pm Sat, 9.00-6.00 pm Sun. It is located about 5 mins South of the Villa on the 27.

Gas The nearest Gas Station is opposite Walgreens at the Intersection of the 27 with the SR 54.

Restaurants

There are a variety of Restaurants along the 27 South of the villa towards the I4. Just past the intersection with the I4 is a Bob Evans. There are also Fast Food Outlets there including McDonalds, BK and Pizza Parlours.

If you go North if the Villa up to the 192 you will find a large selection of Restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets.

Theme Parks

We find it easier to access the parks via the I4 rather the 192. You can either access the I4 by driving down the 27 for about 5 minutes until you reach the intersection and then go left for Disney,Sea World and Universal or turn right for Busch Gardens.

Alternatively you could try the short cut via Champions Gate. Go down the 27 until you reach the traffic lights with Walgreens on your left. Turn Left onto Ronald Reagan Parkway(State Road 54). After about 5 minutes there is a turning on your left towards Champions Gate.Continue on this road and you pass a Publix Supermarket on your LH side. You drive under the I4 and then turn left to join the access ramp for the East Bound I4. Coming back from the Parks or Shopping Malls you can do the reverse to get back to the Villa.

Medical Centre

We hope that you do not need it, however should you require it there is a Heart of Florida Medical Centre about 10 minutes south on the 27 towards Haines City.

Garbage (Refuse) Collection

Garbage is collected on Mondays and Thursdays. The Garbage Bins are stored in the Garage. Please could you place the garbage in sealed bags and place them in the bins. The bins then need to be taken to the Curbside ready for the next morning. Once the Garbage has been collected please return the bins to the Garage otherwise we get complaints from neighbours and the Homeowners Association.

Pool Alarms

Every door and window which opens out onto the pool is fitted with an alarm. Once you open one of these doors or windows you need to press the button on the alarm to temporarily disable it. You then need to close the door once you have exited or entered. Please do not disconnect this alarm as it is a legal requirement under Florida Law and is there for your safety.

Pool Heater

Pool heating will be switched on on the day ordered and may take some time to heat the pool to optimum temperature. We have installed a Pool Blanket and we would request that you use this to cover the pool overnight as it significantly reduces heat loss due to evaporation.

Pool Temperature is set to be in the range of 80-85 Degrees although this is dependant upon both the air temperature and the efficient use of the Pool Blanket

The Controls for the Pool are located in a locked box, please do not attempt to tamper with these controls as any damage incurred will be deducted from the security deposit

TV/VCR/DVD

All the TV’s in the villa are connected to Cable and can be watched independently. To watch a video or record you need to set the TV Channel to number 3 and then turn on the VCR. To watch a DVD you need to do the above and also change the input on the VCR to L1. I have put more detailed instructions in the binder in the Villa.

PC

In order to access the Internet the Router next to the PC needs to be switched on with the DSL Light activated. I have created a guest account on Windows XP. Just click on connect to the Internet and the automatic dialler should kick in and connect you.
